Conger Lane

We have cleared more mud from the footpath that leaves the end of Conger Lane (TOD52). See the previous post for more details.
Footpath towards Old Park farm

This path (TOD42) goes from Griffin farm and from behind the cemetery down the hill towards the Bridleway road and Old Park farm. We have used the brush cutter to cut back the encroaching vegetation. The landowner is going to cut back the fallen trees which require walkers to duck under. Also cleared more vegetation around the bridges and cleaned the mud off the bridges.
Cowbridge/Fancott

Did a little clearance by the motorway (CHL2), but highlighted a series of issues with mud with relevant parties. The contracts who dug a cable last winter, returned this winter to do further works. This has resulted in some areas of deep mud. Please take care when walking, and I would advise against riding on the bridleway until the mud has been addressed. On a positive note, the bridleway bridge on TOD49, that had been formally closed, has been repaired and reopened.
Golf Course bridleway

We have also brush cut the centre section of the bridleway running from Chalgrave Church down the hill. This should be 4/5m wide along it whole length and by keeping the vegetation at bay it helps give users a wider surface to walk/ride on, but also allows sun & wind to help dry out the surface. Although again this winter it has been very wet (again).
