Over the last few weeks we have been clearing encroaching vegetation at the Glebe, most notably the path from Willow Way gate down to the stream. This path has become narrow as the vegetation from both side has progressively narrowed the path. This time of year is ideal for cutting back the brambles after fruiting and out of the bird nesting season.
Further along the path beside the stream, cut more vegetation back. Including the overhanging branches of this bush/tree.
From the middle bridge have cut encroaching vegetation on both sides to make the path wider. Keeping the path wide allows folk to walk side by side, but also helps dry out the path surface trying to reduce (will onto eliminate!) the mud during the winter. Photos not exactly same location, but you get the idea!
The cutting of the wrong grass beside the playing area is not us! But helps keep the area walkable
