Added a handrail, replaced waymark post and improved steps by the sewage works near Cowbridge farm (TOD45). Interesting challenge but worth several hours of effort. Part of Cowbridge walk.
The sewage ‘works’ collects the sewage from Toddington in the large visible tank and when the level reaches a trigger level it pumps the sewage to Chalton Waste Water Treatment works. If the pumps fail then the tank overflows and the sewage discharges through a pipe directly into the river Flit.
